  Private Workshop FAQ

OK, so how does this whole process work?

  1. First, take a look at all of our workshop packages and get an idea of what’s the right fit for your group.

  2. Then, you’ll want to figure out your ideal dates. Make sure to get the availability of your group and offer several dates if possible!

  3. Submit the Private Party Workshop form. You’ll get a response within three (3) business days.

  4. NatterDoodle will work with you to determine the perfect fit, date, time, etc for your workshop and submit an agreement for you to sign.

  5. You’ll sign the agreement and send along payment in full for the package you chose. If you decide to add more people after sending along the agreement, no worries! We can always invoice you for any additional guests!

  6. You get your group excited and dot any I’s and cross any T’s you need to on your end!

  7. Natalie will arrive a minimum of one hour before your event start time to setup.

  8. Enjoy the workshop! Learn something new and bond with your crew!

  9. Natalie will take any pictures of your group you’d like with your phone or camera so that you can remember the day!

  10. Natalie will clean up and get out of your hair!

We aren’t in the Columbus area, do you travel?

I would love to come travel to you! I regularly host workshops all over the country, and would be happy to travel for you as well. The following are my travel rates, starting from my studio (zip 43214).

0 to 25 miles - Free!
25 to 50 miles - $25
50 to 100 miles - $50
100 to 150 miles - $100
150 to 200 miles - $175
200+ miles - let’s chat!

    You’ll need to provide a space, tables and chairs to accommodate the group. Otherwise – I’ve got you covered!

      What if we don’t have a space?

      No worries! You can travel to me too. If you would like me to host your event, I am able to do so in my studio in the heart of Columbus’ Clintonville neighborhood. My space fits up to 24 people comfortably. There is a $50 studio fee for this option.

        What if we have to cancel after booking?

        Bummer! We will be so sad to miss you! 50% of your package will be refunded for any cancellation prior to four weeks before the event date. After this date, no refunds will be issued.

          How many folks can you have in a in-person workshop?

          Our packages are priced for groups of up to 10, and there is an additional cost per student beyond the 10 at a discounted rate! Groups of up to 30 are no problem for NatterDoodle, but any group beyond 30 will require an additional cost of $100 for a second instructor to make sure everyone is getting the attention and hands on advising they need. Virtual workshops have no maximum number of participants!

          What are the options for workshops?

          We have grouped our different workshop options into packages at different price levels, along with student numbers and short descriptions. Check out the options below:

          SPRINKLE PACKAGES
          These workshops are a $500 flat rate for 1-10 students, and $40 per person for any additional students beyond 10

          POSITIVITY PACKAGES
          These workshops are a $600 flat rate for 1-10 students, and $50 per person for any additional students beyond 10
            • Pies & Penmanship (hand lettered dish towels project)
            • Hand Lettered Holiday Ornaments (confetti filled ornaments with hand lettered design project)
            • Hand Lettered Wall Hangings Workshop (canvas wall hangings with hand lettered designs, poms & tassels)
            • Pumpkins & Penmanship (hand lettered autumnal pumpkin project)
            • Signs & Scripts (reversible hand lettered signs)
          CONFETTI PACKAGES
          These workshops are a $650 flat rate for 1-10 students, and $60 per person for any additional students beyond 10
            • Chalk it Up! (hand lettered chalk board design project)
            • Wine & Write (hand lettered wine bags & wine tasting project)
            • Sweets & Scripts (hand lettered serving platters workshop)
          PEN PAL PACKAGE
          This workshop is a $750 flat rate for 1-10 students, and $70 per person for any additional students beyond 10.
            • Intro to Hand Lettering Workshop (my highly acclaimed, best-selling workshop nationwide)
          MINI MAKER PACKAGES
          This workshop is a $400 flat rate for 1-10 students and $35 per person for any additional students beyond 10. These workshops are specifically designed for kids 12 and under, last under 90 minutes and require a minimum of 1 adult participant per group of 10 kids.
            • Take Note (hand lettered notebook workshop with inspirational or girl power themes)
            • Hang Out (simple, kid-themed hand lettered wall hangings)
            • Canvas Crew (8x8 hand lettered canvases with inspiration/affirmation designs)
          VIRTUAL PACKAGES
          There are two options for format:
          a. Host an in-person workshop with your friends and invite Natalie to attend via Zoom
          b. Natalie will invite your friends to meet together virtually via Facebook Live or Zoom
            • Virtual workshops include a per person rate and can be paid by each individual through our secure website via a private link.
            • Workshop rates are similar to those listed in the packages below plus shipping; please submit inquiry and NatterDoodle will follow-up with specific pricing.
            • The minimum for virtual workshops is 10; those not meeting the 10 person minimum will be invited to a private Facebook group where they can watch the video replay and will be provided written instructions.
            • Workshop kits will be shipped to the party organizer (format a) or to individuals (format b)
            • Some workshops are not available as a virtual option due to the fragile nature of the supplies that do not ship well.

           

          What is included in each workshop?

          The materials and projects for each workshop vary, but rest assured all of the options include:

            • all materials including some tools to take home!
            • travel within 25 miles
            • a unique personalized place card with each attendee’s name hand lettered by me
            • a thank you gift from NatterDoodle’s collection
            • a follow-up email detailing information, continued education and how to shop for supplies if your guests want to continue to create on their own time.

          Specific supplies and materials will be outlined in each agreement upon selection of workshop and date for party.
